Tyler L. Williams

For 33 years, 3 months, 3 days Tyler Lee Williams (June 25, 1991) called Chris and Sarah Williams, Mom and Dad. He played, he laughed, and he joked with and tried to teach his sister, Hannah and brother, Dillon all he could. On September 28, 2024 Tyler went to be with Jesus. He was welcomed by his Grandpa Wil, his best friend, Cole, his Nanny-Barb Williams and great grandparents; along with too many friends. His Grandma Bev will miss good conversations with him. Many aunts, uncles and cousins will miss him as well. As we are filled with sorrow, Tyler is living his best life in heaven.

Tyler had a great personality with a fantastic sense of humor. A very, big, and gentle heart, made him a good friend for many. He would help anyone in need. Most of his friends would say, “He’s the smartest kid I ever knew”. Tyler was a math whiz. Though learning came easy to him, he was a patient teacher as well. “You better be early or you are late”—learned that from Grandpa Wil and his days in the Odessa Band of Distinction, as a trumpet player. Not only a band member, but a big part of the prop crew as well.

Tyler loved to work-even as a kid, he would rather be productive than play (unless it was Legos). As a child, he loved trains and was the youngest member of a train club. Always an old soul, he loved hanging with the old railroaders. He loved mowing, along with chopping wood, and fixing things. At 14 he helped his dad remodel a house. He loved to tear something apart and put it back together. So many times, he was the family mechanic. Organizing, building, and “working smarter not harder” were some of his best skills. He always gave his job 110% no matter what it was. He loved to learn—read all the time, listened to podcasts and always wanted to find the facts for himself. Tyler enjoyed a good debate (loud discussion), especially political ones. He loved to play cards. Jeopardy was his favorite game show.

Tyler’s greatest joy was being Uncle Tyler to his three nephews, Bo, Ax, Lee. He loved teaching, teasing and playing with them. They will miss him greatly! Earlier in life, Tyler loved rocketry, woodworking, electricity, and shooting sports in 4H. During high school, he enjoyed his Ag classes, held office and went to Washington DC for a convention. He was a team player—Trapshooting, Quiz Bowl, DECA and the Golf team kept him busy, when he wasn’t at a band function. As a Northwest Bearcat, his fraternity brothers were from Sigma Phi Epsilon, where he was Homecoming Chair (so he could build floats) and served as Treasurer for a time.

Tyler was preceded in death by maternal grandpa, Wil Spreeman, paternal grandparents, C.C. Williams and Barbara (Duke) Williams, along with maternal Great Grandparents, Alfred and Betty Broer, Herman and Lorene Spreeman; paternal Great Grandparents, Vona Cile/Bonnie and Dillon/DA Duke. Recently, his uncle, Don Williams went on before him.

It is a loss for the world, without Tyler Lee Williams in it.
