Glenna was born April 5, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Fredrick Eugene and Marilyn (Lovell) Mason. She married Gary Pike in August 1994. Glenna was an Account Executive for many years at insurance carriers and brokerage agencies. She loved her work and took great pride in taking care of her clients. She was a very loving and caring person who always put others before herself. Many would use terms such as strong, selfless, and fun when describing her. She greatly loved family, and especially loved being “Gigi” to her grandson, Brooks. Glenna was also a dog lover and adored her two beagles, Molly and Daisy. Although she will be greatly missed, Glenna has left wonderful memories that we will hold onto and cherish forever.

Glenna was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Mason. Her survivors include her husband, Gary Pike of the home; son, Derek Pike (Alex) of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandson, Brooks Pike; mother, Marilyn Bryant (Jack) of Oak Grove, MO; brother, Jeff Mason (Dawn) of Oak Grove, MO; and several other extended family members.

  4. I met Glenna so many years ago while working together at Cigna. I knew immediately she was a wonderful person and we were instant friends. A few jobs later and we were able to keep in touch. Glenna had such a bright smile, a joyful laugh and words of wisdom to share with all of us. She gave strength and hope to those around her, even when her struggles were hard. I am a better person to have had a friend in Glenna, I will miss her terribly. My heart is aching for Gary, Derek, Alex and Brooks. Treasure the memories and be sure to give Brooks all the memories of love and support of his wonderful Grandmother.

  6. I was shocked and saddened to hear Glenna had passed away
She was a friend and my supervisor years ago at The Hartford

  7. I met Glenna through our employers, she was our Account Manager and my employer was a client of hers. Glenna was much more to me than a business partner – she was a dear friend. Glenna was phenomenal at her work and set the bar very high. I could always count on Glenna no matter what and that is something very hard to find these days. Glenna was genuine and always remembered my kids by name even though she never met them. She always took time to get to know me and see how I was doing. Glenna and I kept in touch for awhile after she was no longer our broker, but regretfully we’d recently lost touch this year. I am very sorry to learn of the passing of such a wonderful woman. Glenna touched my life and I am better for having known her. My condolences to Glenna’s family – may love and peace be with you in the days ahead as Glenna’s light shines down.
