Joshua Christopher Bolinger, 37, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Joshua was born January 6, 1985 in Olathe, Kansas. The son of Chris Bolinger and Theresa Mesa. He was a 2004 graduate of Blue Springs South High School. Joshua was proud to serve his country. He joined the U.S. Army in 2005. He was stationed with the 10^th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York. Joshua did a 16-month tour of duty in Afghanistan from 2006-2007.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gene Horn; paternal grandfather, Jack Bolinger; paternal grandmother, Dolly Ann Bolinger; and his faithful companion, Akira.

Joshua is survived by his father, Chris (Theresa) Bolinger of Pleasant Hill, MO; mother, Theresa (Stephen) Mesa of Blue Springs, MO; maternal grandmother, Lorene D. Horn of Olathe, KS; and aunts, uncles, cousins and honorary nieces and nephews.
