Michael A. Brockman


Michael “Mike” Anthony Brockman left this life to be in his eternal heavenly home on September 23, 2022, he was 71 years young. Mike was the eldest son of Gene and Ada “Faye” Brockman and was born on June 30, 1951.

Mike is a 1969 graduate of Fort Osage High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and left right after high school. He was a Navy Medic; therefore, he was serving the United States Navy and United States Marines. When Mike returned home from his military service, he worked as an EMT for the Independence ambulance service. Mike spent most of his career as a lineman for various cable companies. Mike’s passion was his faith, family, fishing, hunting, and playing/watching/coaching sports. Mike was a KC Chiefs fan! Mike was a very active person who enjoyed being outside cooking on BBQ grill, doing yard work and fixing whatever needed attention. He was a very handy.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Faye Brockman, his brothers, Mark Brockman and Dennis Brockman.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of over thirty years, Steffany Brockman of the home. His children, Michael (Rhonda) Brockman, April (Kari Masden) Brockman, Jeremy Brockman, Rob (LeAnna) Brockman and Bryce Mason. Grandchildren, Philip (Jadi), Victoria, Makayla, Jessica (Steven), Dylan, Tristin, Joe, Paige, Jasmine, Jada, Aspen, Aubrey and Chase. Great-grandchildren, Drayden, Brooklynne, Serenity, Averie, Mason, RaeLynn and Kingston.

Mike is also survived by several family members including his aunt, Emma (Otis) Mulkey, sister, Susan Brockman and brother, Jeff Brockman. His mother and father-in-law, Paul and Mary Wooderson. Brother in law’s Paul (Christi) Wooderson and Clint (Jessica) Wooderson, sister-in-law’s April Brockman and LaNita Brockman, Uncle and Aunt by marriage, Steve and Kathi Wooderson. He leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He will be dearly missed.
