Anna Christine Stevens, 89, of Solstice Senior Living Community in Lees Summit, Missouri passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at The Summit Church ~ 3381 N.W. Chipman Rd. Lees Summit, MO. 64018. Anna was born April 21, 1933 in Huntsville, Missouri to Roy and Christine L. (Buffington) Baker. She worked as a legal secretary. She was married to Roy Stevens for 54 years. A few years later they were blessed with a son, David. Anna was a long-time member of the Lees Summit United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. She supported the Christian Children’s Fund. Anna sang in the Chancel Choir. She started the Layette Program at Truman Medical Center and it is still active today. Anna enjoyed bowling, cross stitch and working crossword puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Stevens in 2009; and nephew, Roy Lee Kruger.
Anna is survived by her son, David (April) Stevens; sister, Loretta (Vernon) Kruger; niece, Patricia (Dennis) Mann; nephew, Jerry (Kim) Kruger; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
