Lori Ann Mead, 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 22, 2022.  Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 10^th at St Jude Catholic Church in Oak Grove, MO, followed by lunch with the family.

Lori was the second child of six born to Edward Smith and Patricia Michalec Smith on November 22, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, IA. After high school, Lori joined the United States Coast Guard where she earned the Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship Ribbons. In 1989, she married Darrell Mead of Springfield, MO and eventually put down roots in Grain Valley, MO where their children grew up. Lori was an avid cook, master of small talk, and made everyone feel welcome in her company. She loved the Chiefs, her friends, her family, and most of all, being a Mimi to her 3 granddaughters.

Lori is survived by her 3 children and their spouses: Courtney Mead (Jake), Paige Zeller (Ethan), and Dillon Mead (Ally); her grandchildren: Paislee, River, and Elaina; her siblings: Rodney Smith, Dawn McNeeley, Wendi Smith, Rick Smith, and Matt Smith; and both of her parents.
