Virginia “Jenny” Joy Frazier, 72, of Independence, MO passed away December 18, 2022. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2022, at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
Jenny was born May 16, 1950, in Berwick, PA to Oliver P. & Dorothy M. (Miller) Hassell. When Jenny was 7, they moved to California, where she grew up across the street from her late husband and the love of her life, Dan. They later married in 1968 and was together for 25 years until his passing December 19, 1993. Jenny had the biggest heart and welcomed everyone into her family. She loved being around family and friends.
Jenny is survived by her children: April Doutt (David), Dan Frazier, Jr, Meka McLaughlin (Garry) all of Independence, MO; grandchildren: Jessica, Erika, (Terrence), Dakota, Jessie, Johnny, Katelyn, Kyle (Bridgette), Melody (Austin), Danielle, Tyler (Nicollette) August, Eithen and Hunter; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings: Robert Hassell of Sacramento, CA, Jacklyn Hassell of IN and several nieces and nephews.
Jenny was preceded in death by her parents: Oliver P. & Dorothy M. (Miller) Hassell; Husband: Daniel Frazier; granddaughter: Jaimie Anne Frazier-Catone.
