Jody Paul Outland, 58, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Full Military Honors to follow. Jody was born August 28, 1964 in Portsmouth Virginia. The son of Jesse (Rock) and Margaret (Watson) Outland. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Jody loved his job as an over the road truck driver and umpiring at youth baseball games. He also discovered a new passion when he worked at the Renaissance Festival this fall. Jody was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his father, Jesse (Rock) Outland; mother, Margaret Outland; sister, Heather Parra; brother-in-law, Guadalupe (TJ) Parra; nephew, Shay Parra and wife Katie Parra; nephew, Dillon Parra; niece, Alexis Parra and great-niece, Ellie Parra.
No words can describe what Jody meant to his family, friends, and community. He was truly a great man and will be missed more than words can say.
