Danny Lee Vaughn of Lone Jack, MO passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2023. Danny was born to Charles and Phyllis Vaughn on February 6, 1957, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from high school at Raytown High School in 1975. After graduation, Danny began working at Reed Oven Company where he was a dedicated and faithful employee for 45 years until his retirement in February 2021. Danny was a beloved Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend. He was a member of the Christian Masonic Lodge #392 and enjoyed serving others. Danny had a joyous mischievous laugh and an unstoppable drive and desire to assist others who needed help and a hug. He was a treasure to all of those who loved him and enjoyed his company. In his retirement, Danny enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching Chiefs football, traveling with his girlfriend and enjoying visits from his precious children and grandchildren.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Phyllis Vaughn.
He is survived by his two daughters Kellie (David) Straily of Colorado Springs, CO, Katie ( Tait ) Clements of Springfield, MO, Girlfriend Nancy Wilkens of Lone Jack, MO, Brothers Phil (Kim) Vaughn of Scottsdale, AZ and Gary Vaughn of Lee’s Summit, MO, Grandchildren – Robin and Drake Straily of Colorado Springs, CO, Karter and Koda Clements of Springfield, MO, Nephews Kyler ( Janet ) Vaughn of Scottsdale, AZ, Preston Vaughn of Tempe, AZ, , Luke ( Katherine ) Vaughn of Springfield, MO and Brett Vaughn of Cedarville, OH, and niece Kayla ( Brae ) Cindric of Chandler, AZ and numerous grandnieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Royer Funeral Home of Grain Valley, MO. A visitation is planned for Friday, May 12 from 5:30-7:00 PM and a memorial service is planned for Saturday, May 13 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider donating to your favorite charity or Christian Masonic Lodge #392 (Benevolence fund) or: UMKC School of Pharmacy Foundation – 2464 Charlotte St. KCMO 64108. 9 May 2023Danny was a loving soul to his family and those around him. He was always kind to me and my son and grandsons Karter and Koda. I am deeply saddened by the loss of this great man and what he meant and means to Katie, Kellie, and Nancy. They are his leading ladies.
