Larry Jione Hostetter of Independence MO, age 77, passed away May 17, 2023. Larry spent several years as an employee of HEMCO Corporation as well as employment at Drake Designs in Kansas City. He attended the Lighthouse Church of Independence. Larry enjoyed fishing and hunting and an occasional cappuccino, but only from QuikTrip.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Louise Freeland, stepfather, Ralph Freeland and his longtime companion, Colleen Youngs.

He is survived by his brother, Gary Freeland (Teresa) of Blue Springs and two nieces – Kelly Cease of Kansas City, Missouri and Lori Freeland of Chicago, Illinois.

Per Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place with no services planned. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Larry’s name, online or by mail to: American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown MD 21741.
