He was preceded in death by his partner, Carolyn (Carrie) Persall, fraternal grandparents, Allie (Smith) and Lee Gus Holt, and maternal grandparents, Sarah (Fry) and Charles Looney. He is survived by his parents, his children: TJ (and Sara) Holt of Lee’s Summit, MO, Michael Holt of Harrisonville, MO, Sarah Holt (and Jordan Sportsman) of Springfield, MO, and Wesley (and Audra) Holt of Springfield, MO; sister, Jane Ellen (Sissy) Terrell of Kingsville, MO, and brother, Thomas (and Lora) Holt of Grain Valley, MO; grandchildren, Jayden Wilson, and Annabelle, Addison & Ainsley Sportsman, nephews: Matt (and Kylie) Holt, Lee Terrell, Travis (and Delano) Mendoza-Holt, and niece, Felicia Terrell; great nephews and nieces: Owen Holt, Elisha Terrell, Lillian Holt, Ashton Allen, Carson Terrell, Allie Allen, & Richard Luna, and many, many special friends and family.

Ed graduated from Pentecostal Christian Academy in 1986 and worked several jobs throughout his life such as: Po ‘Folks, Johnson Controls, Harley Davison, Absolute Estate Sales, and Kingsville Fast Stop.

Ed loved his family and was loved in return by so many people. He was a friend to everyone he met and had such a contagious laugh. He loved to cook, BBQ and smoke meat, make floral arrangements, and liked helping at auctions and estate sales because he loved finding antique treasures. He was a lover of dogs and had a special bond with his furry little niece, Rosie. In his last days, Ed asked Jesus into his heart and asked the Lord to take him home. He will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Living Waters Family Worship Center, 211 S. Osage, Buckner, MO 64016, with food and fellowship following the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to www.threerivershospice.com/warrensburg.

  1. RIP Ed
Your gone but not forgotten, your memories will live on forever. Love and miss you.

  2. Thomas, Sissy and family… I’m so sorry for your loss. I don’t know if you remember me and my sister, Angie, but we all played together on Elliott Street as kids. Went to Faith Baptist Church. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
