Shirley M. Baker, 93, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. Visitation will be 3:00 ~ 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Graveside Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley.
Shirley was born December 30, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri to Wayne D. and Lillian (Wasson) McInnes. Shirley was known for cooking big dinners for her family. She loved the outdoors and often went camping and spending time in the mountains. Shirley enjoyed bird watching, painting and playing golf. She loved her pet dogs. Shirley had a giving heart. After her children were raised, she took care of her mother-in-law, her mother and then a dying neighbor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, DeWayne McInnes.
Shirley is survived by daughter, Melanie (Bernard) Brink of Cleveland Missouri; son, Stuart (Sherry) Baker of Blue Springs, MO; daughter, Amy (William) Mead of Blue Springs, MO; 6 grandchildren: James Brink, Laurelin Brink, Sean Mead, Nicole Renz, Heather Mead and Briana Mead; 4 great-grandchildren.
