Theodore John Hayward, 84, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ted Hayward was born on July 26th, 1939 to Louella (Kroenke) Hayward and John Hayward of Higginsville, MO. Ted was raised with his three brothers, Bob, Tom, and John. The Hayward boys spent much of their youth in Cole Camp Missouri on the Kroenke family farm.
In 1976, Ted married his beloved wife, Janet, and the two enjoyed spending their time taking sunset cruises on their boat at Lake Tapawingo, going to the casinos, and running their drywall business which supported their family for over 50 years. Ted also enjoyed watching old westerns and NASCAR.
Ted was preceded in death by this parents, Louella and John; his brothers, Bob and Tom; his son, Danny Cross, and his loving wife, Janet. He is survived by his brother, John Hayward; sons, Ted and Cary Hayward; daughters, Stephanie Hutchinson, Kimberly Vittetoe, and Dawn Cross; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
