Daniel Ray Hearn, age 61, longtime resident of Buckner, Missouri went to meet his heavenly father on Thursday, January 11, 2024.  He was living at the Care Center of Independence. Cremation.  Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Daniel was born October 16, 1962, at the Independence Hospital in Independence, Missouri to Ed and Barbra (Rhoads) Hearn.  He was a 1981 high school graduate of Fort Osage High School.  Daniel worked in retail at Mattingly’s and Kmart.  He also worked in food service at Fort Osage High School.  Danny was also a Boy Scout leader.

When not at work, he loved to hunt, fish, and watch the KC Chiefs play.  He always enjoyed playing his blue guitar.  Danny was known for his humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Barbra Hearn.

Survivors include his two sons, Brian Hearn, Jason Hearn and his partner, Adam; sister, Debby (Hearn) Kirchner; and brother-in-law, Wayne Kirchner.  Daniel will be missed by all of his loving family and friends.
