Roselie Backer-Thompson, 67, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 9th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Following services at the funeral home, there will be a Celebration of Life from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Blue Moon Lunar Bowl in Blue Springs. Contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House.

Roselie was born December 3, 1948 in Cayuga, North Dakota, the daughter of Norman and Birdella (Pazkowski) Backer. She was a Training Coordinator for the Disabled for the State of Missouri. Roselie enjoyed gardening and visiting friends and family.

Roselie was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers & sisters. Her survivors include her husband, John; and six brothers & sisters: Leon, Bill, Raymond, Delores, Jean, & Yvonne.
