Patricia Ann Hodges, 78-year-old Grain Valley, MO resident, was welcomed into her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 surrounded by her children. Arrangements are under the direction of Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley.
Patricia Ann (Porter) Hodges was born on July 10,1946 in Wichita, KS to Lloyd and Lola Mae Porter.
Patti, as she was known by her friends, grew up in Wichita, KS where she raised 3 children. She worked a variety of jobs before owning a family grocery store in Wichita for many years. Eventually, she moved to Kansas City, MO where she found her love for the Kansas City Chiefs. She went to work for and later retired from Sprint.
She loved sunflowers, watching Chiefs football, reading and studying God’s word, but mainly loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Michelle McDonald and husband Mike of Vici, OK; her daughter Debbi Hodges of Grain Valley, MO; her son Ron Hodges of Fairway, KS; seven grandchildren Ashley Barnes, Matt McDonald, Amy Thimesch, Jacob Hodges, Gerrett Hodges, Greg Hodges, and Grant Hodges; eight great-grandchildren Teague, Sawyer, Sutton, Shane, Jonah, Teddy, Haevyn, and Hank, other relatives, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assocation.
