Galen Anne Drinkwater, 74, a lifelong resident of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21^st at the Oak Grove Estates Senior Community room.  An inurnment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Galen was born November 19, 1949, in Oak Grove, MO, the daughter of Donald William and Julia Lou (Clampitt) Drinkwater.  She loved all animals, but she especially loved cats.

Galen is survived by five siblings: Bill Drinkwater (Bami) of Blue Springs, MO, Harold Sudduth (Wendy) of Rhinelander, WI, Steve Drinkwater of Lee’s Summit, MO, Sue Jones (Welby) of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Kay Cangelose of Raytown, MO; stepmother, Dorothy Drinkwater of Lee’s Summit; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Donna Lou Drinkwater-House and Teresa Sudduth.
