Debra Lynn Leach of Independence, MO passed away on December 7, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO; burial following at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Debra was born on May 12, 1951 to James and Marguerite (Sexton) Dorrell. She was a proud graduate of Truman High School. Debra enjoyed reading and crafting including knitting and crocheting. She was very fond of all the flowers William planted reaping the benefits of all his hard work. Debra’s greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; brother, Mike; and great-grandchildren: Elena Rose and Jocelynn Nicole.
Debra is survived by her husband, William, of 55 years; daughters: Sandi Bishop, Chrissy Cleveland; brother, James Paul (Sandy) Dorrell; grandchildren: Amanda, Kassidy, Christian, Tori, Sierra, Allie, Harley; and 12 great-grandchildren.
