Kevin Park, beloved man of Independence, Missouri, tragically passed away on June 12th, 2025 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was 56 years old and living life to the fullest at the time of his accident. Kevin was surrounded by his family when he left our world to reunite with his parents.
Growing up, Kevin was very close with his family. Even though he was the youngest, he was always there for his big sisters. He helped take care of his parents and was there for them when they got sick. He worked for over 13 years for Jim’s Disposal Services, where he was known for not only going the extra mile and working hard, but also doing things in his own way! Kevin’s co-workers were like family to him.
Kevin had many hobbies including going to the boat with his friends, riding his motorcycle, and cooking dinner for anyone and everyone. He had an eye for finding valuable items and found joy in fixing things up. He was the kind of man who showed his care not in words, but in serving others, whether it was helping a friend move, clearing a snow-covered driveway, mowing for the elderly or lending a hand with a project that just couldn’t be done alone, Kevin was always there – no questions asked, no thanks needed.
After his accident, his friends, families, neighbors and coworkers visited and shared stories of how Kevin had helped them. Kevin leaves with us his legacy of a selfless and hardworking man with a heart of gold.
Kevin is preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Shirley Gorman, Juanita and Fred Park; his uncle’s Freddy Park & Steve Gorman and his parents Shirley and Joe Park.
Kevin is survived by his sisters Kimberly Sievert and Kelli (Jeff) Harless, his brother David (Bridget) Titus, his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, and his many cousins. He had a special bond with Mav, he called him Poppa Kevin and his beloved cat, Baby Girl.
