
Arthur Wilson Jr (Art) born June 26th, 1961 passed away unexpectedly on July 18th, 2025 at the age of 64 in Belton, MO.
Art was born and raised in Clarkdale, MS. After graduating high school in Mississippi, Art joined and served in The United States Navy on several U.S. Aircraft Carriers. After serving in the Navy, Art continued his education obtaining his AS degree and welders Certification and his Airframe and Power Plant license. He then began working for TWA as aircraft mechanic. Finally, Art settled down working as a welder at Ford Motor Company for the last 25 years. Art was also serving as the Commander at the VFW Post 1829 in Kansas City.
Art could walk into a room with his big smile and laugh and it would make anyone’s day. He loved to spend his time with his family and friends, especially his kids and grandkids. He spent many adventures with his family from traveling all over the county down to giving kids rides on the golf cart around Belton. He loved the little things in life, like Blue Festivals, air shows, flying his favorite airplane “Sid Chicke”, and the annual “Superbowl Roll” trips for the Chiefs.
Arthur is survived by the love of his life for over 30 years Laura, daughter Tiffany (Ron) Willson, son Dakota (Ry) Wilson, and 3 grandsons Ayce, Nash, Aspen, and a granddaughter on the way. Arthur is also survived by his siter Brenda (Isaac) Jones, brothers Ronald Wilson and Christopher (Vanessa) Wilson, mother and father-in-law Sid and Cheryl Conner, sister-in-law Charo (John) Conner and Shanna Horn, and his brother-in-law David (Megan) Wilson. Art was blessed with many nieces and nephews that he absolutely adorned. Aunts and uncles, he was grateful for his many cousins thinking of the as more as brothers and sisters.
Art was preceded in death by his daughter Camille Wilson, his father Arthur Wilson Sr and mother Lela (Barnes) Wilson, nephew Sidney Conner, niece Danisha Williams, father and mother-in-law David and Susan Wilson, and brother-in-law Jarvis Horn.
Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday August 10th, 2025 from 12N-5pm at the Village of Claycomo Community Building 28 Drake St. Kansas City, MO 64119 (right behind Police Station/City Hall). A prayer and service honors will be at 12N with light lunch served.
Interment will be Saturday August 23rd. at 11am at the Hallam Cemetery in Hallam, NE 68368
