Alma Lucille Wallace Steele, born September 28, 1929, passed away on January 15,2026 at the age of 96 surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.B. and Margaret Wallace; two granddaughters, Jessica and Whitney Joy; daughter-in-law Rosemary, and her best friend, Carolyn Knight.

Alma is survived by her sons:

• David and his wife, Shirley
• Randall and his wife , Mary Lou
• Thomas
• Kenneth

She is also survived by six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Alma was an avid knitter and crocheter, a talented painter, and a devoted gardener.  She adored her cats, Scamp and Misty. She also volunteered her time preparing the weekly church newsletter for mailing.

Alma had a gift for making people feel loved–everyone who met her was drawn instantly to her warmth and kindness.
