
Patti Jo Forsyth, age 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Patti was born on October 4, 1955, and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Elmer Baker Sr. and Margaret Baker.
Known for her warmth and dedication, Patti spent many years working with the public in the medical field as a front office coordinator, a role in which she took great pride. She retired in 2016 after a fulfilling career of service. Following her retirement, Patti embraced life fully, traveling across the country on countless trips with her beloved husband, who preceded her in death. These journeys brought her joy, adventure, and cherished memories that she held close.
Patti will be remembered for her kindness, her love of people, and the deep connections she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Patti’s hobbies included attending concerts, creating beautiful scenery in her yard, gardening, spending quality time with her friends and family, and traveling with her beloved late husband. Patti could also be found often in her kitchen, baking family favorite recipes for everyone to enjoy. During her favorite holiday season of Christmas, Patti ensured that no one left empty handed or hungry. She created a sense of meaning for everyone and an endless number of memories that will live on through her children and grandchildren for years to come. Patti took pride in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. To sum Patti up in a few words, family was of the up most important thing to her, and she believed in embracing every moment with those you love.
Patti was preceded in death by her beloved husband Terry Forsyth, where her heart has always been, and her parents Elmer and Margaret Baker. Patti’s life will forever be cherished by her daughter Tammie White (Mike), daughter Cindy Bass, son Donnie Bass (Missy); eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren who she loved spending much time with; brother Roy Baker (Chris); niece Dana Baker, and beloved dog Maggie.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery located on S. Cemetery Road and E. Hillside Road on Wednesday, January 21st at 2:00 p.m. Those attending are asked to meet at Royer Funeral Home located at 101 SE 15th Street, Oak Grove, Missouri by 1:45 p.m. to begin the procession to the cemetery. Flowers deliveries may also be delivered to this location.
