Carla Sue Baker (87) was born July 19, 1938, in Plainview, Texas. She died peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Oak Grove, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Gerald Baker, sisters Margibeth Howard and Lea Gwynelle Steele, brother Noel Howard, daughter Debra Geiman, stepson Mark Baker, and grandson Christopher Morton. She is survived by her children, Sandra Tockey, Barbara Morton, Lynora Darden, John Andresen, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carla made her career working as a receptionist for an ophthalmologist. She and her husband, Gerald Baker, spent much of their married life traveling the USA. She lived with her husband in Amarillo and Temple, Texas until moving to rural Missouri.
Carla always had a smile on her face and quickly made friends with those around her. In the words of her favorite song, “Happy trails to you, until we meet again.”
