In loving memory of Kevin Fouts, age 61, passed away on March 6, 2026
Kevin was born July 30, 1964 to Luella McCarty and Fred Fouts. He grew up in what he called “The Golden Era” of the ‘70s and ‘80s, being raised in the neighborhoods of Gracemor and Brooktree. His wild stories from youth and unforgettable antics with friends in those years sparked his love for genuine excitement and connection staying with him for life.
Kevin had a gift for connection. Whether lighthearted or personal, he met people where they were, sharing his ideas or insights that left a lasting impression. He welcomed others as family, regardless of familial ties. Making his home a place of acceptance and love for all. An outspoken and genuine man. Kevin carried a sharp wit and humor to every conversation. His humor brightened every room he entered. His compassion and love strengthened those around him. His love of music, literature, and films reflected him as a person completely, which showed in any conversation.
Kevin lived boldly and loved fiercely. He will be remembered as a loving grandfather, loving father, a loving brother, and a loving figure to those who needed it. His love, warmth, and wisdom have shaped the lives of many and will continue to live on in the hearts that he touched.
Kevin is preceded in death by his Mother: Luella McCarty, Father: Fred Fouts, and Daughter: Ashley Loraine Fouts.
He is lovingly remembered by his Children: Brittany (Chris) Kelly of Ravenwood, Mo.; Darien (Wade) Whittington of Maryville, Mo.; and Jeffrey (J.T.) Fouts of Holden, Mo., Grandchildren: Annalise Kelly, Annabelle and Elliana Whittington (or as he lovingly nicknamed the Grandkids: Bella Monster, Elli Bear, and Annimal); Brother: Grant (Alicia) McCarty of Colorado Springs, Co.; and Sister: Connie Sales of Odessa, Mo.; as well as many other family members and friends.
Services are to be held Saturday May 2nd from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Hallar Building in Holden, Mo.
