Jo Ann Sue Schieber, 53, of Higginsville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Memorial services will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5th at Mayview Community Center, 104 Marshall Street, Mayview, MO 64071.
Jo Ann was born on August 19, 1972, in Spearfish, South Dakota, the daughter of Twyla Carroll and John Huffman. She grew up in Greeley, Colorado, and attended Greeley Central High School. Jo Ann married Larry Schieber of Mayview on May 17, 1997. She was outgoing, very family oriented, and generous with her time. Jo Ann and Larry had two children and one grandchild. She recently learned how to crochet and loved to make blankets. Jo Ann enjoyed family gatherings with her and Larry’s families. She had a very close relationship with her in-laws.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; and her daughter, Chelsea Wilcox.
Her survivors include her husband, Larry Schieber of the home; son, Caleb Schieber and grandson, Bowen Schieber, both of Higginsville, MO; sisters: Stacey Daleman of Greeley, CO, Michelle Sheets (Dale) of Cheyenne, WY, Wendy Mapes (Tim) of Tonganoxie, KS, and Dallas Schieber-George of Mayview, MO; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Jim & Twyla Schieber of Mayview, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
