Dwayne L. Brocker


Dwayne Leland Brocker, 84, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Aspire Senior Living in Oak Grove, MO.  He was born on October 15, 1941, to the late Carl and Dora Brocker of Falls City, NE.  He married his loving wife of 54 years, Alma (Gist) Brocker in 1971.  She survives along with his son, Brian Brocker (Kimberly Daniels) and daughter, Shelly Dees (Ruben); stepdaughters Barbara Peterson and Paula Ventresca (Todd) and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dwayne proudly served as a member of the United States Army for several years based in Alaska.  He then became a police officer with the city of Blue Springs, Mo.  After his marriage to Alma he worked for Michelin Tire Company until his retirement in 2001.  After that, he and Alma traveled the country working in the National Parks as Park Hosts.  The place he loved the most was the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, where he loved to hike, camp and ski.

Dwayne will be cremated and remain with his family for now.  Per his wishes, no services will be held.  Please remember him fondly.

  1. We new Dwayne and Alma from when we moved to Millers Senior RV Park in Grangerland, Texas in 2018.
    They were both park workers and a very sweet couple.
    After a few years they decided to move back closer to family.
