Kevin Treece, 41, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on June 27, 2026. He was born on April 12, 1985, in Independence, Missouri, to Brenda Kay Treece and Steven Craig Treece.
Kevin was known for his hard work and his fierce love and loyalty for his family and chosen family. He enjoyed singing with the windows down, taking adventures anywhere and everywhere, and especially treasured time spent with family. He didn’t know a stranger, and if you met him, you knew that. He loved talking to people and just enjoyed learning other people’s stories. He had just accomplished his dream of owning his own home with his wife, Johna Treece, youngest daughter, Julianna Treece, his most favorite dog, Taco, and cats he swore he didn’t like, but cats that chose him as their favorite person and who he fed steak to when he cooked it. He was a kind, soft-hearted soul whose easy laughter brought joy to those around him and will be missed so dearly.
What brings us comfort in this time of sadness is that he was a saved man and a fierce believer. He is at peace. We don’t cry for him, but we cry because the world will be a little less colorful without him in it.
Preceded in death by his father, Steven Treece. Survived by his wife, Johna; mother, Brenda; daughters Julianna, Bekah (Jon), and Sheala; brother, Brandon (Amy); and grandkids Micah, Livia, and Marlee.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date, to be determined, and will share details with family and friends when available.
