Joshua S. Bunn

Joshua Seth Bunn, 28, passed away on September 26, 2019.   Cremation; Private celebration of life.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Heart of America Teen Challenge, 9800 E 350 Hwy, Raytown, MO 64133.

Josh was the beloved son of Stephen Bunn of Blue Springs, Missouri and Kelly Dunkeson of Centerview, Missouri; loving father to his daughter, Baylee Bunn and son, Bentlee Bunn.  Other survivors include his sister, Briana McBee (Brandon) of Rye, Colorado; paternal grandmother, Jerri Bunn; maternal grandmother, Gloria Dunkeson; aunt, Michelle Bunn Boucher; cousins, Kristen Frampton, Nicole Frampton, Alexander Boucher and Noah Boucher; uncle, Perry Dunkeson (Leesha); aunt, Karen Dunkeson Pyles; cousins, Craig Pyles, Randy Pyles, Levi Dunkeson and Emily Dunkeson.    Josh loved anything and everything that involved  dirt bikes, motorcycles, Motocross, Josh enjoyed spending time with his kids, especially the Colorado trips and Pike’s Peak.   He made sure Bentlee got “dirt bike fever” and loved teaching him to ride his first bike.

He loved mountain climbing with his dad in Colorado, going to car dealerships and test driving vehicles with his dad. When he lived in Colorado with his dad, he enjoyed hanging out with his sister, Briana.   Josh loved cheering Alex and Noah on in their little League Baseball games. If ever there were three peas in a pod, it was Josh, Kristen and Nikki.  Everyone, deep down within, carries a small cemetery of those they have loved.    Josh’s departure from our lives has left a void in our hearts that will never be filled.   Even though he left us way too soon, our lasting memories of him will be forever in our broken hearts.  Josh was preceded in death by his brother, David Andrew Bunn, paternal grandfather, David Lee Bunn, and maternal grandfather, Ronald Perry Dunkeson.

  1. Kelly and Family – Sometimes intuition knocks. I found this during one of those times.
I’m so sorry to hear about Josh and want you to know I believe he is now a part of the beautiful collective from where he came. It’s not easy to be there as your children drift away.
I’m certain that David is there to welcome him.
You’ve always been a giving Mother and grandmother, far beyond what most are ever willing to do. Your children and grandchildren are fortunate beyond measure.
There are never words that will make a difference, I know, but know that you’re loved by many and there will be many to embrace you now and always.
My love to David and Josh as they continue their journey together now. My love to your family. Jacqueline
