Larry R. Burton, 78, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence; burial in New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29th at the funeral home.
Larry was born December 10, 1938 in St Joseph, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Burton; two daughters: Sherry Couch and Vickey Hamblen; two sons: Terry Sullins and Merlin Sullins; nine grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
