Salvatore Thomas Galate, 70, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at VA Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Salvatore was born April 3, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Salvatore V. and Antonina (Virgo) Galate Jr. He owned and operated his own carpet cleaning business. Salvatore was an avid golfer, with a passion for the outdoors. He also liked to paint water colors, and he loved his family immensely.
Salvatore was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include five sons: Thomas Fitzgerald of Fresno, CA, Chris Galate (Kyla) of Parkville, MO, Michael Galate (DeLisa) of Blue Springs, MO, Vincent Galate (Janean) of Chandler, AZ, and Alexander Galate of Raytown, MO; four grandchildren: Aiden, Caleb, Collette, and Gianna; one sister, Mary Galate of Raytown; and many cousins and other extended family members.
