James Alexander Garner, 83, of Carrolton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Jim was born December 31, 1931 in Montserrat, Missouri, the son of Oscar and Theresa (McDowell) Garner. He owned and operated his own heating and electric business. Jim was a member of Grace Baptist Church
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; 3 sons: Scott Anderson, Tim Garner, & Kenneth Garner; and daughter, Mira Garner.
His survivors include sons: Gerald Garner of Richmond MO, Mike Garner of Independence MO, Dan Garner of Hagerman ID, & Henry McKenzie of Independence MO; sisters: Frances Wright and Mattie Greer; 15 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
