
Robert “Bob” Lincoln Hazen, 88, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Ridgecrest Nursing Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 26th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Bob was born August 21, 1930, in Reading, Kansas, the son of George J. and Della (Beggs) Hazen. One of nine children, he was raised on a farm in Kansas, where his family was very musical. He played the guitar and harmonica. Bob was a tool and die maker, retiring in 1992 from Bendix/Allied Signal/Honeywell FM&T. He was very involved in the Ridgecrest Nursing Center Resident Council and held the office of President. Bob enjoyed painting and got a lot of joy out of giving his paintings to his family and the residents. He loved spending time with his family, having holiday dinners, going to family reunions, and riding motorcycles.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; son, David P. Hazen; granddaughter, Janice Louise Hazen; great great-grandson, Lincoln; and his wife, Janice (George) Hazen. He and Janice were married just shy of 70 years when she passed away in 2016.
His survivors include three children: Robert “Ed” Hazen and wife Shirley of Raymore, MO, Randy Hazen and wife Connie of Bates City, MO, and Jana Eison and husband Larry of Holden, MO; ten grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Spousta of Belton, MO.
