David Heath


David Heath, 82, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his home.  Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 28th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Veteran’s group of your choice.

David was born January 27, 1935, in Atherton, Missouri, the son of Clive and Osa (Garrison) Heath.   He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  David married Phyllis L. Elliott on June 1, 1958.  He owned and operated Heath Construction and was an Elder in the Parkview Community of Christ Church.  He loved his work, football, music, and especially his family.

David is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis Heath of the home; son, Greg Heath (Sandy) of Blue Springs; daughter, Jan Goldberg (Ben) of Lake Lotawana, MO; brother, Elbert Heath (Joyce) of Blue Springs; sister, Bernita Bishop of Allen, TX; five grandchildren: Rachelle Vap (Ryan), Jessica Epping (Corey), Tiffany Beck, Kyle Goldberg, and Austin Goldberg; and eight great-grandchildren: Andrew, Audrey, Quinton, Sophia, Julia, Audrey, Autumn, and Austin.
