Michelle “Shelly” Dawn Huffman, 42, of Lone Jack, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Shelly was born September 16, 1973 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas W. and Gail A. (Hosler) Huffman. She graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1992. Shelly enjoyed riding motorcycles and doing word search puzzles. She loved butterflies, her dog Pudgy, and most of all, she just loved life.
Shelly is preceded in death by her mother. Her survivors include her father, Thomas Huffman of Lone Jack; boyfriend, Rob Kasmerchek of Independence, MO; two sisters: Mary Jo Huffman and Jennifer Campbell, both of Lone Jack; one brother, Ernie & Laurie Folsom of Tonganoxie, KS; nieces & nephews: Kaleb, Zack, Ashton, and Rena; two uncles: Gary Huffman of Blue Springs, and Kenny Galler of Lone Jack; and many cousins and friends.
