James William Jester Jr., 74, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at Village Hospice in Lee’s Summit, MO.  Cremation; no services are planned at this time.

James was born April 15, 1945, in Lenexa, Kansas, the son of James William Sr. and Emma Marie (Stackhouse) Jester.  He was a farm laborer and enjoyed gardening.  He also enjoyed going and watching the Royals and spending time with his family.

James was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Tom Jester, Bob Jester, and Gary Jester.

His survivors include six sisters: Barbara Redman of St. Louis, Shirley Reitz of Oak Grove, Carolyn Jester of Odessa, Debbie Jester of Oak Grove, Janice Jester of Odessa, and Lisa Jester of Oak Grove; and two brothers: Ron Jester and Rick Jester, both of Odessa.
