Dwayne L. Kleyh


Dwayne Lee Kleyh, 56, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 also at the funeral home; burial following in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. The family suggests contributions be made to the Salvation Army. 

Dwayne was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 21, 1960 son of, Charles and Marilynn (Cross) Kleyh. He enjoyed camping and boating at the lake. He liked to cook, listen to music, had a love of holiday lights and he enjoyed driving his street rod. 

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas Kleyh; and granddaughter, Grace Lynn Kleyh. His survivors include his wife, Crystal Kleyh of the home; son, Jason Lee (Farra) Kleyh of Nixa, MO; daughter, Lindsey Nicole (Craig) Patterson of Independence, MO; 4 grandboys, Peyton Kleyh, Isaac Patterson, Tyson Patterson and Samuel Patterson; 2 brothers, Dennis (Rebecca) Kleyh of Pleasant Hill, MO and Donald (Kathy) Kleyh of Pleasant Hill, MO; 2 sisters, Beverley (Everett) Owings of Blue Springs, MO and Becky (Jim) Torres of Blue Springs, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

  1. As Dwayne and Crystal’s East High classmate (’78), I will always think of Dwayne as a gentle giant. I remember riding in his Mustang out to Lake Jacomo for Mr. Mallot’s photography class listening to ‘Swingtown’ from Steve Miller. My introduction to Rock n Roll.
