Danny Lee Klima, 68, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017. Services will be held Tuesday, May 30th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove: Visitation 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.; funeral at 2:00 p.m.; burial in Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO. Danny was born in Kansas City, MO on January 24, 1949, son of Milford and Dorothy (Myers) Klima. He graduated from Van Horn in 1968, worked at GM Fairfax for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He built and ran 3 self-serve Country Club Carwashes, 2 in Blue Springs, MO and 1 in Oak Grove, MO for 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Oak Grove. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and coach. He also loved his dogs Paws, Annie and Molly.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Brett Denti. His survivors include his wife, Susan of the home; son, Ryan Klima of Bates City, MO; 2 daughters, Tara Tripp (Chad) of Oak Grove, MO, and Lisa Vescovi (Ryan) of Pleasant Hill, MO; 8 grandkids, Vanna Lewis (Justin) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Austin Klima of Oak Grove, MO, Callie Tripp of Oak Grove, MO, Chloee Tripp of Oak Grove, MO, Jackson Vescovi of Pleasant Hill, MO, Jasper Vescovi of Pleasant Hill, MO, Brinlee Tripp of Oak Grove, MO and Jagger Vescovi of Pleasant Hill, MO; brother, Richard Klima (Linda); 2 sisters, Vonnie Irwin (Ray) and Diana Denti (John); and several nieces and nephews.
