Daleen June Lyons, 79, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away June 18, 2019 after a very short battle of Pancreatic Cancer.   She was surrounded by her family at home.  Friends may visit starting at 1:00 p.m. on June 30^th followed by a Memorial Service to celebrate her life at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church 1400 W. Sheley Rd, Independence, MO 64052.  In lieu of flowers, the family asked for a donation to PanCan.org.

Daleen was born in Clarksburg, WV, June 28^th, 1939 and graduated from Victory High School.  She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana, aunt, and friend to so many.  Daleen loved big and taught

her children to do the same. While married to John, they were members of Nativity of Mary Church.  Later, after marrying David, she became very involved and changed her membership to Trinity Presbyterian in Independence, MO, where she served on the Fellowship Committee and helped with the funnel cake booth at Santa Cali Gon.  Daleen was also a great supporter of the Scouting program.  She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Chapter in Kansas City, MO.  She volunteered at the Calvary Baptist Church in Odessa, MO, My Sister’s Heart.  Daleen enjoyed cooking and taught her family to carry on that tradition.  She loved sewing, antique shopping, and putting her toes in the ocean.  She loved her home in Texas during the winter months.

Daleen was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, John Paul Liptak; her father, Burtis Frum; and son Kirk Lyons.

Her survivors include her husband of 22 years, David C. Lyons, Sr. of the home; son, Jeffrey Liptak and wife Candy Ross Liptak of Centralia, MO; daughter, Jacqueline Liptak Thompson and husband Steve Thompson of Springdale, AR; daughter, Julie Liptak Lyons and husband David Lyons, Jr. of Independence, MO; son, Nickalos Liptak and wife Shannon DiGeorge Liptak of Blue Springs, MO; daughter, Lara Lyons Anderson and husband Rob Anderson of Prairie Village, KS; daughter, Kelli Lyons Hurley and husband RJ Hurley of Peculiar, MO; her mother, Margaret Fittro Frum of Bridgeport, WV; brother, Burtis “Jim” Frum and wife Sol Frum of Lenexa, KS; sister, Sharon Frum Wetzel and husband Robert Wetzel of Mt. Clare, WV; brother, William “Bill” Frum and wife Sandy Frum of Clarksburg, WV; sister, Barbara Liptak Clutter and husband John Clutter of Stonewood, WV; aunt, Phyllis Fittro Brown of Bridgeport, WV; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
