Betty Jean Milleson, 85, of Independence, MO passed away Monday October 31, 2016. A visitation will be held at noon on Friday November 4, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Blue Springs, 4500 Little Blue Parkway, Independence, MO. A funeral will be held at 1:00 pm also at the church with a burial in Blue Springs Cemetery after the service.
Betty was born on October 11, 1931 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Dennis and Doris Smith. She was a member of Crown Pointe Assembly of God, a pastry cook at William Southern Elementary, retiring in 1989. She was involved in many church activities, loved to travel especially to Colorado and loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Milleson, of the home; 2 daughters, Twila Adair (Skip) of Grain Valley, MO, and Linda McCrary (Doug) of Kansas City, MO; sister, Frances Hopkins (Brian) of Wichita, KS; 6 grandchildren, Christopher Latimer (Rosie), Angela Russell (Brandon), Brandon Latimer (Amy), Andrea Madden (Chris), Justin McCrary (Jayme), and Kristen Dawson (Tyrel); and 10 great-grandchildren.
