Lelia C. Ronback


Lelia Comell Ronback, 86, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial following in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Richardson Scholarship fund at Fort Osage High School.

Lelia was born November 26, 1933 in Bartlesville, OK, the daughter of Jesse and Nellie (Means) Brown. She married Richard David Ronback on March 5, 1962. When she first came to Kansas City at age 15 her first job was at a hat company, sewing in hat bands. She started at Sunshine Biscuit at age 21. She retired after 34 years. Lelia loved her country music, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Ronback in 2003; daughters, Mona Richardson in 2002 and Donna Aumua in 2020; and son, Russell Ronback in 2017.

Lelia is survived by her son, Fred Ronback and wife Jackie of Sugar Creek, MO; four grandchildren: Chris Ragland of Oak Grove, MO, Chad Richardson of Gallatin, MO, Missy Aumua of Independence, MO, and Cory Richardson of Independence, MO; eight great-grandchildren: Blake Aumua, Bryce Richardson, Jayden Richardson, Lauren Ragland, Isaac Sanders, Lainie Ragland, Easton Richardson, and Braxton Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Richardson Scholarship fund at Fort Osage High School. Make checks payable to: Fort Osage Education Fund or foeducationfoundation.org
