Rose M. Oberle


Rose Matilda Oberle, 97, of Buckner, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO; burial in New Salem Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation, 1111 Main Street, Suite 450, Kansas City, MO 64105.

Rose was born September 4, 1919 in Roosevelt New York the daughter of John and Anna (Ogorak) Paschette. She was a bookkeeper for an ammunitions plant in New York for many years. In 1945 Rose was married to John Joseph Oberle Sr. they were married till his passing in January of 2000. She had a great sense of humor and loved to see people laugh. Rose was an avid card player and a great cook, her specialty was pot roast. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Independence, Missouri.

Surviving is her son John Oberle Jr. of California, 8 granddaughters: Rachel (Carl) Mormino of Buckner, Mary (Donald) Palmer of Blue Springs, Elizabeth Oberle of KC MO, Melissa (Andy) Kehoe of Harrisonville, Christine Oberle, Jennifer Carlino of Massachusetts, Anna Oberle and Emily Oberle both of Fort Scott KS. 4 grandsons: John Oberle III and Nicholas Oberle both of Anaheim, CA, David (Liz) Oberle of Dallas TX, Billy Carlino of Massachusetts and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and son Dennis Oberle.
