Kenneth Eugene Pearson completed his earthly life on November 16, 2016 at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence MO. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21st at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.

Kenny led a humble yet fascinating and exciting life, beginning in small town in Linn County KS. He joined the military at a young age and served his country in the US Air Force. Upon his discharge, he moved to the “big” city for work soon meeting and marring Betty and starting a family.

Kenny worked and provided for his family for over 3 decades at the Lake City munitions plant in Independence, MO.  Being retired for over 24 years he had plenty of time to spend with his family, and travel with his wife. He also liked to pursue his hobbies, reading, fishing, being outdoors, and winding his pocket watches. He loved country music and playing his guitars.

Always there for a story, Kenny was never without words. He would tell stories that would make you laugh, one’s that would make you think or a simple story that would teach some sort of lesson. He gave us many memories and will always be remembered. Kenny Pearson was a lover of life and people. He was kind, caring, knowledgeable, and always a pleasure to spend time with. He will be more than missed.

Kenny is survived by his son Chris Pearson, grandson Kyle Pearson, grand-daughter Courtney and her loving husband Luis Plascencia. The most recent lights of his life great grandson Gabriel Luis and great grand-daughter Liva Marie. He also leaves behind his sister Olivia and too many loving friends and family members to list.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty of 48 years.
