Vera Elise Schwartz, 84, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 11th at Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City, MO.
Vera was born July 30, 1931, in Magdeburg, Germany, the daughter of Georg and Elise Vera (Ritter) Specht. She was a loving housewife and mother. Vera was an excellent cook, and she enjoyed knitting and loved to travel. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Oak Grove.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Gilbert Schwartz of the home; son, George Bowman of Willington, MO; five daughters: Mary Ann Bratton of Springfield, MO, Debra Bowman of Blue Springs, MO, Nancy Bemboom of Versailles, MO, Elizabeth (David) Schrader of New Melle, MO, & Rebecca (Thomas) Edwards of Cleveland, OH; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
