Virginia M. Sebben


Virginia Mary Sebben, 91, of Odessa, Missouri, died June 21, 2019 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO.  Visitation will be at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO on Wednesday, June 26th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.  The funeral will be at St. George Catholic Church in Odessa on Thursday, June 27th at 10:00 a.m.; burial in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa.  The family suggests memorials to St. George Catholic Church in Odessa.

Virginia was born on December 14, 1927 in Iowa, the daughter of Leonard Lickteig and Emma Hildman.  She married Vincent Marrone on October 14, 1950 and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1964.  She married Joe Sebben on April 7, 1972 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2015.

Virginia worked at Armco Steel for a number of years, but for the greater part of her life, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  She was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Odessa.  She also attended the First Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Missouri for many years.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Sue Marrone of Independence, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Angelo Casa of Independence, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Emma and Jerry Vantine of Independence, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Bena and Troy Baker of Odessa, MO; son, Tom Marrone of Independence, MO; son, Mike Marrone of Watauga, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Julie Marrone of Columbia, MO; son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Mary Sebben of Raymore, MO; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kim Sebben of Atlanta, GA;  daughter, Julie Chandler of Leavenworth, WA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Juliann Sauer of Ottawa, KS, and Rita Harrison (Pete) of OK.
