Stacey M. Washington


Stacey Mae Washington, 39, of Concordia, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at St. Luke’s on the Plaza in Kansas City, as the result of Guillain-Barre Syndrome.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial following in Higginsville City Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19th at the funeral home.    Contributions may be made to the GBS/CIDP Foundation, or to a fund for the care of her beloved dog, Buster.

Stacey was born September 25, 1977 in Warrensburg, Missouri, the daughter of James H. and Mary A. (Luebbert) Hursman.  She was employed at Milbank Manufacturing in Concordia.  She loved animals, especially her dog Buster, and spending time with her friends.

Stacey was preceded in death by a sister, Crystal R. Hursman in 1980; her grandparents, Dorothy Buesing, and Earl & Irene Hursman; and her stepfather, Ed Lindauer.

Her survivors include her parents: James Hursman of Higginsville, and Mary Lindauer of Concordia; sister, Angie Berry & husband, Kevin, of Higginsville; sister, Lori Jacobs & husband, Jake of Oak Grove; two nephews, Chase & Clayton Berry; neice, Kristen Frizzell; and a host of other family members and friends.
