Rick passed away on December 4th, 2020 at 10:45pm and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will be honoring the life of Rick on Friday, December 11th, 2020 with visitation from 2pm-3pm, service at 3pm, followed by Military Honors at New Hope Baptist Church, 1800 Lexington Independence, MO. 64058.
Richard Earl Bradford was born on November 4th, 1956 in Independence, MO to Sidney Earl and Lora Lea Bradford. Rick was saved and baptized in his early teens. Rick graduated from Van Horn High School in 1975. He enlisted in the Army in 1975 and he served his country honorably from 1975-1978. Rick married the love of his life, Terea (Shelley) Warner, on December 27th, 1975. They would go on to celebrate 45 years of marriage. They were blessed with two children, Melinda (Mindy) and Matthew (Matt), and then blessed with one precious Granddaughter, Kayla, who was the light of his life. Rick was an avid deer hunter & fisherman. He really enjoyed watching sports and western movies. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his hounds (Molly & Abbie) at their lake property and his hunting cabin.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lora Bradford; his grandparents, John and Lola Bradford, Lem and Edna Thompson; one grandson Zachary David Hedges and many other family and friends.
Survived by his wife, Shelley; his children, Mindy (Bob), Matt (Amy); granddaughter Kayla; his father Earl; siblings, Donnie (Linda), Kathy (Mark), Jared (Tara), and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
