Lane Coy Argetsinger

Lane Coy Argetsinger, 70, of Blue Springs passed away on December 26, 2020 with his daughters by his side.

Lane was a true example of an eldest child. He was strong, stern and a natural leader. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. Lane was married to his one true love, Carole Rist until she passed away in 2003.

If Lane was not working as an industrial Insulator (Local #27 Asbestos), you could usually find him hunting, fishing, or watching sports on the television. Lane was a quiet man with an ornery sense of humor. He also was such a giver at heart and would help out just about anyone he met in any way he could. He will truly be missed by many. Lane will be honored with a military tribute and a celebration of life at a later date (to be determined) in 2021.

Lane is preceded in death by his wife, brother and his parents. He is survived by his daughters, son in law, grandchildren, and siblings.

Arrangements:  Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO   816-847-4441

  1. So sorry to hear of Lane’s passing. I am sure the loss will be hard on the entire family. Please share my condolences with Lane’s sisters, Donetta Argetsinger and Carol Argetsinger Younts and his brother Brian Argetsinger.
My dad, ‘Jiggs’ Sherrill and Lane’s mother, Mary Rose Albaino Argetsinger were first cousins.

  2. I still remember our duck hunting adventure and afterward many years ago. Rest easy.

  3. I will miss talking to Lane, he was wonderful person.

  4. So sad to hear about Lane. I grew up next door to the Argetsingers watching Lane and Bruce playing b-ball in my driveway! Those two were so smooth, and fluid when playing ball, Lane’s contagious laugh and Bruce’s determination to show his older brother up, it was all something to admire! I always liked the array of cars Lane would bring home and cruise around in. He contributed largely to my infatuation with muscle cars even to this day!
Lane was pretty cool and Carol was a perfect compliment to and for Lane.
    Jim
