Sherry L. Hall


Sherry Lyn Hall, 73, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, followed by a Celebration of Sherry’s Life at 6:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to Koger Cemetery, 2206 SE Harding, Oak Grove, MO 64075.

Sherry was born in Omaha, Nebraska, the first born of John Creighton “Jack” and Betty Jane (Williams) Holcombe.  She attended Grain Valley Schools.  Sherry married Tony Hall in 1971 and was a dedicated wife and mother.  She was always a room mother for her children’s classrooms in school and scorekeeper for their baseball and softball teams.  Sherry was a Cub Scout Den mother, where she held various roles, and was a Girl Scout leader as well.  Sherry was a member of the Jaycee Wives and held various offices within the club.  She was part of the group who worked to get St. Jude Catholic Church to Oak Grove.  Sherry was the first CCD Coordinator and received recognition from the Bishop of the KC / St. Joseph District at the time.  She was also past President and Secretary of Koger Cemetery.  Sherry was a member of the Auxiliary VFW in Oak Grove.  She had been employed by Blue Springs Bank and more recently, had enjoyed her job at Price Chopper.  She loved spending time with her grandkids and playing rummy.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Tony; her parents; brother, Jackie; and sister, Debbie.

Her survivors include her children: Eric Hall (Jonelle) and Ailisa Hall; five grandchildren: Sam Johnson, Evan Hall, Isabel Brennan, Jordan Hall, and Meredith Brennan; three sisters: Susan Kramer (David), Terry Beebe, and De Holcombe; and brother, Mark Holcombe.
