Donald G. Myers


Donald Guy Myers, 80, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021.  Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Don was born January 8, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Oliver E. and Eunice C. (Isley) Myers.  He was proud to be a truck driver.  He was a member of the Oak Grove Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner.  Don was also a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, where he was a Deacon and very involved with the Deacon Ministries including their ministries to the truck stop and nursing home.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and sisters, and his grandson-in-law, Adam Graybill.

His survivors include his wife, DeLane, of the home; 2 daughters: Debbie Dorton of Oak Grove, and Kim Nebgen (Debbie) of Deepwater, MO; 4 granddaughters: Kimberly Shannon (Tyler) of Liberty, MO, Jami Graybill of Grain Valley, MO, Jodi Crawford (Mitch) of Oak Grove, and Danielle Nebgen of Oak Grove; 5 great-grandchildren: Amyah, Ayden, Tucker, Ada, and Nyle; and 1 grand-dog, Sissy.
