Cecil Boyce Curts, 84, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family suggest contributions to the American Red Cross.
Cecil was born on June 26, 1926, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Cecil A. and Eunice (Thomas) Curts. He married Marcia Maxwell in Sept. 1944. Cecil served in the United States Navy. He was an electrician for Armco Steel, retiring in 1984 after 40 years of service. He was a Mason and member of the Wyandotte Lodge #3.
His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Marcia, of the home; three daughters: Sandy Sloan of Blue Springs, MO, Michele Lindley of Grain Valley, & Denise Hoenshell of Blue Springs; one son: Jim Curts of Blue Springs; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
